The Pepsi Challenge Cup Cross Country Ski Race!
The
29th Annual Pepsi Challenge Cup Race
will be held March 9, 2013 at Giants Ridge Golf and Ski Resort® in Biwabik. Giants Ridge has a world class reputation for its race trails and snow grooming. The Ridge has held the World Cup, Olympic Trials, National Collegiate Finals and U. S. National Championships. The Pepsi Challenge Cup is a 48km freestyle race on the world class Nordic Trail System. There are four companion races; Pepsi Challenge 48k Classic, 24k Freestyle Great River Energy Rush, 24k Classic Great River Energy Rush, and Giants Ridge 10k. There is a race to accommodate skiers at every level. The Pepsi Challenge Cup Race is part of the American Ski Marathon Series and serves as a Birkie Qualifier.

Early Registration date extended Feb 13, 2013
Hello Skiers:
In the past two weeks Giants Ridge has received 10+” of fresh snow. Our race course has a solid 8” base and has been groomed with the piston bully and is in great shape!
The Pepsi Challenge has extended the cut-off date on their next price increase. Now until Feb. 19th, 2013, you can enter the Pepsi/Great River Energy Rush races (24K & 48K) for $75.00. Price increases to $85.00 after Feb. 19th. This includes mail-in and on-line (Midwest Events) registrations – both can be found on our website www.pepsichallengeskirace.com.
The Giants Ridge 10K race stays $35.00 for skiers 18 yrs. old and under and $45.00 for those skiers over 18 yrs. old – right up through race day.

2013 Pepsi Challenge Update
The Race Times and Fees are updated for 2013.
Included with your ski packet this year will be a free XC ski pass (good only on March 8, 2013). This will give you an opportunity to test your ski wax and the course before the race on Friday, March 8, 2013. This is for a cross country ski pass only - not downhill. This ticket in not transferrable to any other dates. Do not misplace this ski pass, it will not be duplicated at Giants Ridge if you can not find the Pepsi ski pass for Friday. This ski pass should be attached to the article of clothing that you will be wearing on Friday. Saturday - you will have your own Pepsi Ski Bib.
Race headquarters opens at Noon on Friday, March 8, 2013 at the Biwabik Park Pavilion.
